Awesome debut at Art on Vine in the Rhinegeist Brewery. It was a little daunting setting up only one table but I kept a stash of mugs behind the table and kept restocking. I got lots of compliments on my new table display and shelves. I saw this idea on Pinterest (of course). They used wine bottles as spacers between the shelves. One of my friends keeps bringing me her husband's empty gin bottles which are a beautiful blue. I found a nice table runner on clearance at Target and painted my shelves a bright green. It really made my booth pop and several people stopped just to check out the setup.
The set up was a little hectic because we couldn't get in to setup until the yoga class left. Yes they had yoga in a brewery - I love that. So by the time I got my pallet of stuff delivered to my spot, I had about 15 minutes till show time. Of course there were already people there, so I am also trying to sell things while setting up. YIKES!!! This is a shot of my booth at noon, but of course there were already people shopping, not a bad thing.
I love going to shows - They other vendors are a blast to get to know and I enjoy talking to the shoppers and hearing their stories. There were a group of guys that got to know each other at rehab for congestive heart disease. A couple from that had moved here from France and wanted to send some of my Cincy stuff to their family back there (that's a country my things haven't been to). My nephew came by with my great niece to see me and share my bugles and a friend came by to let let me know how much she enjoyed receiving a custom ornament her niece had made by me in remembrance of her mom that had recently passed away. I am so grateful to be able to touch so many lives in a positive way and be inspired by them in return.
The show didn't end till 7:00 which means that I didn't get home till 9:30. I stopped by Bucks tavern to pick up a late dinner for me and Logan before heading home. I had a Bud Light while waiting and if anyone has heard the response the Budwieser has had over the negative craft beer commercials, I am all for the craft beer. Bud can't hold a candle to the beer I had at Rhinegiest. It was so full of flavor, it made the bud light taste like dish water. Yuck.
I'll finish this up with some more pics from the show. It really is a great setting with the distillery equipment, murals and the "bad ass" fans overhead. If you get a chance, check it out. My next show will be at the same place, same time on March 15th.
